National Indigenous History Month (June 2026)
Throughout June, Brandon School Division proudly recognizes National Indigenous History Month — a time to honour and celebrate the rich histories, cultures, languages, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada.
National Indigenous History Month provides an important opportunity for students, staff, and community members to learn about Indigenous histories and perspectives while reflecting on the ongoing journey toward truth, reconciliation, and meaningful relationships.
Brandon School Division remains committed to supporting inclusive learning environments that respect and value Indigenous voices, knowledge, and ways of knowing.
We encourage everyone to take time this month to learn, listen, and celebrate the diverse cultures and contributions of Indigenous Peoples within our communities and across the country.
