Riverheights was well represented at the Western Manitoba Science Fair with thirty students involved from our school! Everyone enjoyed a fun day including the Science Olympics, a bubble man show and Brandon University tours!

At the end of the day, several of our students walked out with medals and special awards! Hadlee Robertson, Jainish Nayak, Penny Milliers and Elowyn Rice won bronze medals.

Notably, Lucia White and Sofia Niemienets won the Assiniboine College Innovation award. Tripp Kucharski and Weston Teeteart each won gold medals, and same with Brynn Sigurdson and Evie Raga. Moksh Gandhi won a bronze medal. Saif El-Shetehy won a silver medal. Ava Stokes and Mia Richards won gold medals as well.

I, Elliot Pelland, left with a gold medal, the Climate Change Action Award, which included setting up the project at City Hall for Earth Week, and presenting my information to our mayor! I also earned the Russ Edwards School of Ag and Environmental Award, the Brody Davis Alumni Award, the Land and Water Conservation Award, and one of the Shad Awards.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the school Science fair and the Western Manitoba one!
