Take Our Kids to Work Day (November 4, 2026)

Promotional event graphic for “Take Our Kids to Work” featuring slogan “Different Perspectives, Shared Direction” and event date November 4th, 2026.

On Wednesday, November 4, 2026, Grade 9 students in Brandon School Division will join thousands of students across Canada for Take Our Kids to Work Day (TOKTW), Canada's leading career-exploration program. This year's theme celebrates the many different paths a career can take, and how every one of them can move a young person forward.

We need your help to make this day meaningful:

Parents & Caregivers

  • We encourage parents and family members to bring their Grade 9 student to work with them for the day. Talk to your employer about hosting your child, and confirm you're working on November 4.
  • Ask if your workplace can welcome other students who don't have a placement.
  • The TOKTW registration form will open online on October 9. If you prefer a paper form, just ask your child's English teacher, then complete it and return it to them.
  • Encourage your child to explore careers and ask questions!

Businesses & Nonprofit Organizations

  • Open your doors to inspire the next generation.
  • Showcase your industry and the many roles that make your organization thrive.
  • Help students see the different paths that are possible!

Hosting a student is a small commitment with a big impact. It can spark a passion, build confidence, and shape a student's future.
