Grade 5/6 Walker/Doerksen Class will be recognizing children of Military families through the Teal Up Initiative.
Teal Up Day is celebrated on the last Monday of April and encourages everyone to wear Teal to show support for Military Children. The color Teal was chosen to represent all branches of the Canadian Military. The campaign began in April 2021 in Shiloh, Manitoba. Teal Up is an initiative that is now recognized in over 40 locations across Canada to honor the resilience of Canadian Military children.
We encourage everyone to wear teal on Tuesday’s, for
“Teal Up Tuesdays” during the month of April and also on Monday April 28th which is “Teal Up Day”
