Fair Use Images
Fair (and legal) use of images that you did not create is controlled by Canadian copyright law. As are most laws, the law itself is difficult reading, but you can find it at the Government of Canada's Copyright Act pages. Explanations regarding the principle of "fair dealing" with copyright materials can be found, amongst other places, in the Wikipedia article of the same name.
- Canadian Student Research Centre images: Read "What am I allowed to do with this image?" To search for images only, select only "Photos, maps, & flags" in the "Include when searching" box.
- EBSCOhost image collection: Read "What am I allowed to do with this image?" To search for images only, choose "Image Collection" or "Image Quick View Collection" from the images menu at the top of the EBSCOhost search page.

- fotopedia: Before using images at this site, be sure you read and understand the "Terms of Service"; those who post their images at fotopedia may limit your use of them.
