Building Student Success with Aboriginal Parents
BSSAP is an initiative that can increase student success through the engagement of aboriginal parents, community and culture by:
- Expanding the awareness of the relevancy of Aboriginal education to all people,
- Moving from involvement to engagement of all stakeholders,
- Celebrating the contributions of Aboriginal peoples, history and culture,
- Strengthening aboriginal language base,
- Developing aboriginal resources, and
- Developing and delivering diverse programs to engage a wider student population

- Weekly Powwow Dance and Drumming
- Feasts
- BASIC - Building Aboriginal Student Identity Circles
- Boys Drumming
- Girls Hand Drumming
- Helpers/Elders in the classroom
- Métis Dances
- Aboriginal Parent Committee
- FN Language Initiatives
- Healthy Kids & Diabetes Awareness
