The Budget Planning and Preparation Process shall be carried out in accordance with the following general timetable:

  • October
    • Guidelines for Preliminary Budget
    • Stakeholder Consultation Meetings
    • Submission of individual Trustee Budget Requests
    • Financial Audit Reports
  • November
    • Committee review and Endorsement of Individual Trustee Budget Requests
  • February
    • Preliminary Budget Presentation
    • Public Budget Consultation
    • Budget Deliberations
    • Public Presentations
  • March 
    • Public Presentations regarding proposed budget.
    • Approve Budget
    • Set Budget Dates for following year
  • March 15th 
    • Special Levy requirement submitted to Municipalities
  • March 31st 
    • Final Budget completed, submitted to the Public Schools Finance Branch.
